"Back where I come from, there are men who do nothing all day but good deeds. They are called phila-, er, er, philanth-er, yes, er, good-deed doers, and their hearts are no bigger than yours. But they have one thing you haven't got - a testimonial... and a nice bowl of heartwarming homemade soup. "

Hey Joey! I notice you're up to a new venture! If you're putting 1/12th the heart & soul into the soup as you did the water ice, you'll be warming the bellies of every Philadelphian in no time!
ReplyDeleteI custom ordered Crab Tomato Bisque and it was delicious. I recommend it to anyone.
ReplyDeleteDr. William Lake
We just totally enjoyed both the wild rice chicken and shrimp bisque (loved the touch of sherry!) and they were both delicious!! Probably the only soup I've had in a long time that wasn't over salted (easier to add your own than take it out). Both tasted completely homemade and we will definitely order again. Thanks Joe!! Sue and Mike
ReplyDeleteMushroom soup was awesome, Hess.
ReplyDeleteShrimp bisque was very good. Nice chunks of yummy shrimp. I was hoping it wouldn't be those tiny tasteless little guys!
ReplyDeleteWe were going to call you later to tell you that the Shrimp Bisque was AWESOME... had the chicken soup today, love that it isn't too creamy. I know you aren't putting much salt in so I put a little in myself and it was perfect.
ReplyDeleteThe soup was delicious Joe, no worries. We're looking forward to trying more!
ReplyDeleteChicken tortellini was fantastic , Joe
ReplyDeleteBruce & Nancy Schulman

ReplyDeleteSubject: Joe Hesson's Soup ..... OUTSTANDING!!!
ReplyDeleteHi everybody,
Just letting you know that Joe has started a new "Homemade" Soup Business.
We tried it last week and it was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! We ordered his chicken with wild rice and mushrooms and his shrimp bisque. Better than any restaurant soup I have had.
We got the Portuguese bread with the soup and made an entire meal of it.....and Sue didn't have to cook!
This week I am having Joe deliver 2 quarts to my Dad.
So if you love great homemade soup and bread ....delivered to your home....give it a try....
OUTSTANDING !
ReplyDeleteJoe's soups are the best! My husband & I order every week, and I also have him deliver a couple quarts to my mother - in -law. She loves the convenience. Try the rolls too, an easy delicious meal for cold winter lunches & dinners.
ReplyDeleteMy son has had Joe deliver his soup to my door several times. Every one has been absolutely delicious ! As a senior citizen, this is a wonderfully convenient service. Looking forward to more great soup for the rest of the winter
ReplyDeleteVegetable Soup scrumptious, has okra in it, rare find. YUM!!!
ReplyDeleteJoe, we LOVED the sausage soup... think it's my favorite... let us know when you make it again.
ReplyDeleteDeb
Joe, that sausage soup was sinful, it probably should be illegal it was so good. Can't wait to taste what you come up with next week !
ReplyDeleteJoe,
ReplyDeleteMy daughter, Megan just had the turkey chili for lunch and she liked it. That is a good thing because she usually tells the truth whether you want to hear it or not.
Thanks for the good service.

Hess, you found your "signature soup" ! That sausage soup is the one that is going to make Joe's Soup For You a household name, it was unbelievable. Great job !
ReplyDeleteMike
Joe, I'm afraid to tell you that I'm going to be the 1st to complain here. I just finished the sausage soup. ( that's my complaint, I finished it to the last drop and there's none left )
ReplyDeleteJoe -- I just wanted to thank you for your thorough instructions on heating the Maryland Crab soup, which I followed.
ReplyDeleteNo one really likes that "flavor" soup here, but me, which is why I ordered only a pint. Meanwhile, I heated it all, had myself a bowl, and found my husband gobbling the remainder straight from the pot. So much for not liking it!! It was really delicious. And of course, I had a roll with it. Made for a great dinner. THANKS!!
Chicken and rice soup was awesome Hess.
ReplyDeleteKelly
Joe, the chicken with wild rice & mushroom soup was very good... can't wait for when you make turkey rice.
ReplyDeleteJoe,
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I loved the shrimp bisque and the sausage soup, they were both delicious ! and the front door delivery reminded us of the old days when bread, milk & Charles's Chips got delivered. Thanks
Joe,
ReplyDeleteWe certainly did enjoy the sausage and chicken noodle- real good.
My wife and I had the chicken noodle last night and it was excellent.
ReplyDeleteWe tried the shrimp bisque and the sausage the other day…both of those were excellent too.
I tend to like the ‘creamy’ version of the bisque—as does my dad, but wife and mom both like the thinner brothy version better…
Either way, the soups were delicious.
Just finished your chicken veggie soup. You out did yourself this time. These soups are never the same, just always good. Exquisite! Chock full of veggies and chicken. My compliments to the chef !
ReplyDeleteThanks Joe. I love your added "tid bits"; I ate the soup today, "as is" -- It was soooooooooooo good!! Next time I will get a quart.
ReplyDeleteI never got to the chicken soup - my daughter ate the whole thing.
Can't wait for next week!

ReplyDeleteTHE SWEET POTATO/CARROT BISQUE IS THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD!!!
ReplyDelete... the last time I ordered, you gave us two versions of the Butternut squash soup, one was completely pureed, and one had chunks.....I don't know which one I liked better - they were both absolutely delicious! (I ate all but one bowl of both quarts I think, and Adam and Dave shared the Chicken Noodle, which they loved). You definitely know how to make a mean soup!
